About ARTEM dance studio
Our studio was founded by Artem Petrukhin, a former leading sportsman of Ukraine in the Latin American dancesport program. He competed at the IDU World Championship in Italy, the Dutch Open in the Netherlands, and won multiple All-Ukrainian Open Dance Championships.
His teaching partner, Oleksandra Karpenko, holds a WDO international license and has competed nationally across multiple seasons. Together, they bring over 25 years of dancing experience and 12+ years of teaching.

In fact, starting later in life can bring many benefits. Some of them are improved balance, coordination, posture, and cognitive function. We adjust the pace and intensity to match your body, and every lesson is built around your comfort level.

Once or twice a week is a good starting point. Consistency matters more than frequency. Students who attend one private lesson and one group class per week tend to progress steadily.

No. In private lessons, your instructor is your partner. In group classes, students rotate partners so everyone gets practice leading and following.
Coming without a partner is completely normal. It can even help you build stronger technique dancing with your instructor, and you’ll also get used to moving with different partners instead of relying on just one person.
