Kids Dance Classes in Marbella

Kids' dance classes in Marbella at ARTEM dance studio will teach your child proper technique, rhythm, and discipline in a structured, supportive environment.

What Will Your Child Learn in Our Dance Classes

Kids don't learn the same way adults do. They need structure, but they also need to enjoy what they're doing, or they won't stick with it. That's something we've figured out over 12+ years of teaching students of all ages, and it shapes how we run every kids' class at the studio.

We believe they should have room to explore. That's why we teach both Latin and Ballroom styles. It gives them a wide foundation instead of locking them into one style too early.

  • Rhythm, timing, and learning to move to the music

  • Proper posture, balance, and body coordination

  • Footwork patterns across Latin and Ballroom styles

  • Partnering skills, leading, and following

  • Discipline, focus, and the ability to follow instructions

  • Confidence in performing in front of others

We don't teach kids by letting them freestyle and hoping something sticks. Every class follows a structured plan with clear goals, corrections, and progress tracking. You and your child will know what they're working on and why.

In every class, your child will work on:

Dance Styles We Teach in Marbella

Smooth/Standard Rhythm/Latin
Waltz Cha-Cha
Viennese Waltz Rumba
Foxtrot Paso Doble
Tango Salsa
Quickstep Mambo
Bachata
Swing

The Dance Journal: How Your Child Tracks Progress

Every child at the ARTEM dance studio gets a Dance Journal. This is a structured tracking tool where your child writes down what they learned in class, what needs practice, and a few goals for the weeks ahead.

The Journal does three things:

  1. It gives your child a tool to track their progress. They can see how far they've come, which is one of the strongest motivators for kids to keep going. Especially during the weeks when something feels hard.

  2. It gives you, as a parent, visibility into what's happening in class. You don't have to guess whether your child is learning or just running around. The journal shows you exactly what they're working on and where they are in their development.

  3. It gives the instructor a reference point for each student. When a child walks into class, the instructor already knows what was covered last time, what needs reinforcement, and what's next. That level of detail is rare in group classes, and it's one of the reasons our students progress faster.

How Much Do Dance Classes for Children in Marbella Cost?

The monthly plan is how most kids train with us. One group class per week gives your child consistent exposure to technique, rhythm, and partnering without overloading their schedule. Consistency matters more than frequency at this age, and weekly classes build habits that stick.

What’s Included Price
Monthly Group Class Plan
for Kids
1 group class per week 80€ / month

Classes are separated by level, so your child is learning with students at a similar stage. Beginners are not thrown into the same class as kids who've been training for two years. That separation matters because it keeps the pace right and prevents younger or newer students from feeling overwhelmed.

How Is Dance Different From Other Activities for Children

Most parents compare dance to football, swimming, tennis, or gymnastics when deciding what activity to put their child in. Dancing develops something the others don't: the ability to move with another person.

Partner dancing teaches them how to read physical signals, to respond to someone else's movement, and to communicate without words. It builds spatial awareness, musicality, and a kind of discipline that requires both physical and mental focus.

Dancing also develops posture, flexibility, and coordination in ways that can benefit them in other sports.

Competition and Performance Opportunities

We also offer preparation for competitions and studio performances. This isn't something we push on every student. It's an option for kids who show interest, the discipline, and the willingness to train at a higher level.

Our instructors have coached students who went on to compete at regional and national-level events. The competitive track at ARTEM dance studio follows the same syllabus used in WDC and WDO-sanctioned competitions, so your child is learning the correct technique from the start, not habits they'll need to unlearn later.

If competition isn't the goal, that's completely fine. Most of our kids' classes focus on building strong social dancers who enjoy movement, understand rhythm, and feel confident dancing.

How Children's Classes Work at Our Dance Studio in Marbella

Book your first visit and bring your child along. You'll meet our instructors, take a look around the studio, and we'll spend a few minutes getting to know you and your child.

Step 1.

Your child will join the group class that matches their age and level. From the first class, they'll start working on rhythm, posture, and simple footwork patterns.

Step 2.

Every few weeks, the instructor reviews your child's progress and adjusts the plan. If your child is advancing faster than the group, we place them in a higher-level class.

“My 4-year-old daughter has been attending dance classes here for a few months, and it has been such a wonderful experience. The instructor Alexandra is incredibly patient and nurturing, creating a warm and welcoming environment for the little ones.”

— M.S

I can recommend this dance school for children—my daughter started when she was 2.5 years old. The teacher is punctual, and it’s great for discipline, stretching, and learning basic steps in ballroom dance.

— B.K
